Lori is the founder and President of Rush Recruiting & HR, LLC. She has over 20 years of experience in recruiting (both agency and corporate), human resources, training, marketing, operations and management. Lori has superior skills at networking as well as cultivating and maintaining relationships. Her skill set includes a positive, can-do, and fearless attitude.
Lori’s strong ability to capture the culture of an organization and keep it in the forefront of the hiring process allows her to find the right people for the environment. Keeping those priorities sets her apart from other HR professionals. She believes in providing her clients with numerous points of difference that give them a great value and trust in hiring an outside organization to do their hiring and HR services.
As a coach in the interview process, Lori goes above and beyond to give job seekers the tools they need for success in the job market. Lori has a successful process for resume development, which makes sure the job seeker is presented to a prospective employer illustrating their skills and accomplishments in order to be called in for an interview.
Lori was on the senior management team and worked as a Management Recruiter for the Northwest Region of J.C. Penney. She was also a member of the executive team of Custom Decorators, Inc., a medium-sized, privately held company. Lori was an executive recruiter for a local staffing firm in the hi-tech industry. Lori is certified in STAR Behavioral Targeted Selection Interviewing Techniques and has a solid understanding of the different interviewing methods, which are most helpful in the selection process to determine high quality, productive employees. Her STAR Certification also benefits the job seeker through interview preparation in order to be fully prepared and practiced for their interviews.
Lori understands the focus, drive and dedication necessary to secure a position most suited for an individual. Her passion lies in helping people and businesses through providing tools and resources they need to be successful. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Accounting from Oregon State University.
Lori is an active member of the Home Builder’s Association (HBA). She also serves on the Oregon State University Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Lori participates in the Oregon State University College of Business’ quarterly Mock Interviews, providing advice and feedback on students’ resumes and interviewing skills. In addition, she speaks and conducts round table discussions at various schools and organizations, sharing her expertise on conducting effective job searches. Lori was an active volunteer with Susan G. Komen for the Cure and volunteered year-round as a member of the Race Committee for over 15 years. She received the Susan G. Komen for the Cure “Power of Many” Award in 2009.
Sherry B. Jordan, MA
Sherry acts as an affiliate member of Rush Recruiting & HR, LLC. She is the founding member and owner of The Northwest Coaching Group, Inc. and is a business coach and consultant. Sherry has over 20 years’ experience in business working in executive level positions primarily in the finance industry. She is an expert in helping both businesses and individuals realize their potential through human behavior and business acumen. Sherry holds a Masters of Arts in Relationship psychology and specializes in the impact of human behavior on career and business outcomes. Sherry has been a collaborative partner with Rush Recruiting & HR, LLC for over 6 years and has helped dozens of Rush Recruiting & HR clients.
Lori collaborates with Rush Recruiting & HR, LLC in composing, editing and proofreading resumes for clients. She also helps with employee handbooks and has been doing it for 7 years. She holds a B.S. in English from Western Michigan University and has over 5 years experience in writing and editing resumes, marketing materials, advertising copy, academic papers and deposition summaries as well as company handbooks and standard operating procedures. She is skilled in selecting the best representations of clients’ histories to include in current resumes and enjoys putting the pieces together to make a strong sales tool and product they are proud of. Lori is an active coach for a high school cross-country and track team and volunteers as an assistant dance instructor for a high school dance club.
